How to watch Free-to-Air HD content without the need for an antenna

I'm about to snag a shiny new 4K Samsung TV, but for now, I'm stuck watching everything through Foxtel satellite, which means I only get Channels 9, 7, and 10 in standard def—yawn! I know Channels 9 and 10 have HD options through digital channels. Is there any clever way to catch them in HD without having to deal with the hassle of an antenna?

The easiest way to watch free-to-air channels in HD is by using the free streaming apps from each network:
- 9Now for Channel 9
- 10 Play for Channel 10
- 7plus for Channel 7
- ABC iview for ABC channels
- SBS On Demand for SBS channels
These apps let you stream live TV and catch up on content, and most offer HD streaming—though it might not always hit the full 1080p mark.
You can also check out internet TV services that pull together free-to-air channels:
